A day after Kapurthala resident Gurinder Singh was arrested for crushing a dog dog under his car, activists of the People for Animals (PFA), Amritsar, demanded FIR against his sister for allegedly tossing dogs across a wall. Gurinder Singh is presently out on bail.
Activists of the PFA visited his house in Kapurthala along with the police and rescued 12 dogs. Shalini, a PFA activist, said, “We saw 15 dogs at his house while two of them have died. His sister tossed a dog across a 9-ft wall. The police filed an FIR against the man but his sister hasn’t been booked.”
Sultanpur Lodhi DSP Sarwan Singh Bal said investigation was on. — TNS
