Taking a swipe at the BJP leadership, senior SAD leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal today said it was time they stopped claiming farmers were being “misled” on the contentious farm Bills.
In an interview to The Tribune, the SAD MP, who resigned as a Union Minister, said it was unfortunate farmers’ pleas were falling on deaf ears. Responding to the “resignation drama” jibe of CM Capt Amarinder Singh, she said, “He was part and parcel of the discussions. Had he objected then, the situation would not have reached this stage?”
Harsimrat claimed she learnt about the Bills only when a file from the Agriculture Ministry was presented to her for comments on May 24.
