Ludhiana, November 26
While the government has decided to opt for strict measures apprehending a second wave of Covid, hundreds of anganwadi workers gathered for a protest seeking fulfillment of their demands while throwing safety norms to the wind. Most of these workers were seen without masks and no social distancing was maintained by them.
The workers, many of them carrying children, were seen protesting outside the mini-secretariat today. They condemned the Centre for its "anti-worker" policies. They demanded an increase in their wages and that they be given the status of
a teacher. — TNS
